For this assignment we were to create a concept map outlining one of our units. The map was to show 5 levels of learning. An instructional plan was to be including to show how our lesson fit into the concept map.
I really enjoyed this assignment. It helped me to visualize my unit. As I was developing this web, I was thinking how helpful this could be for my students. I know it is important to show students where they are headed in a lesson as well as a unit, and this is a perfect way to do that. I was able to really outline where we started and what specific areas we would cover throughout the unit. I am planning to develop concept webs for other units to share with students both at the beginning of units as well as thorughout the unit. I also think it will be a great way to review units. I am excited to be able to use this web in my classroom.
